Cadet epee explained

E-mail Print PDF

tarriq

Cadets are under seventeen fencers (generally fourteen and older). Cadets who attend nominated domestic competitions (see Cadet nominated competitions) are included in a ranking list using which fencers are selected to represent the Academy (formerly known as the GB squad) at three European Cadet Circuit competitions, and subsequently the most successful will compete in the European Championships and the World Championships. The exact details of the selection procedure is  described below. A new and important element in becoming a cadet - shortly to become mandatory - is involvement in British Fencing's National Academy. Click on the National Academy section on the main menu to find out more.
